Dec. 17, 2024—Representatives from H-E-B visited the staff at McGown Elementary School on Dec. 13 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
David Hamilton, H-E-B general manager, shared that supporting the local community is at the core of the H-E-B organization.
“Here at H-E-B, we believe in serving the community with more than just groceries,” Hamilton said. “For more than 15 years, we have supported worthy causes throughout Texas and Mexico. We are thrilled to formally adopt McGown Elementary School, right here in our Bridgeland community. Our teachers, all throughout CFISD, are working hard every day to educate and grow the minds of our future leaders. With this adoption, we hope to support them in their mission and keep their spirits high throughout the year. Community involvement is crucial to ensuring that the teachers and support staff feel appreciated for their dedication to our students. We appreciate you, now and always!”
